Before Fedora, the Old South Cafe.
In 1929, Ethel R. Brown brought the Old South Cafe to the basement of the Aztec Theatre. Its private dining rooms welcomed guests before and after the show, with music from the theatre orchestra above. The cafe closed in 1955; El Matador followed. Fedora begins the room's next chapter.
